Grammys nomination concert to feature Train, Stevie Wonder and the Biebs
The Grammy Awards will be here before we know it (Sunday, Feb. 13, to be exact) and CBS has the nominations award special to prove it. The one-hour live special hits the airwaves Wednesday Dec. 1, and LL Cool J is even taking a break from his "NCIS: Los Angeles" duties to play host. "The Grammy Nomination Concert Live!!" (Wow -- this must be a
bigger deal than we thought, given the double exclamation points
in the title) will feature performances from Train, Katy Perry, B.o.B, Bruno Mars, Miranda Lambert and Justin Bieber (aaand we're sold).
Presenting the nominations are Dave Grohl, Hayley Williams, our favorite little Disney wizard, Selena Gomez, and Stevie Wonder.
Ahem, we apologize if this is in bad taste but, well, we're asking out
of genuine curiosity, don't presenters have to read from a card? Come
on, Recording Academy, why are you gonna put Stevie on stage where he
can't read the nominations when you could have him perform? If you're
really trying to snag a few more demographics, why not throw a piano on
stage and call it a day?
All we can say is we hope Train's Pat Monahan
leaves his unbearably tight glitter jeans at home this time. We still
get an unsettled feeling in our stomachs when we think back to that American Music Awards performance. Better yet, maybe he handed them over to Adam Lambert? He could definitely rock those out. Pat, not so much.
Tune in at 10 p.m. ET Wednesday (Dec. 1) to see the real star of the show, J.Biebs new haircut.
