'Doctor Who' Matt Smith's charming chat with Craig Ferguson

We at Zap2it are very excited to be able to see the "Doctor Who" special actually on Christmas Day.

And thanks to that news and the "Doctor Who" Matt Smith first season getting released to DVD, we've been seeing him more in the news lately. He drops by Craig Ferguson's late night show Tuesday (Nov. 16) to chat ... and we do mean chat.

It's not really an interview, but just a couple of chaps having fun. Smith is totally charming, miming hanging himself or digging when he discusses things that could be taken the wrong way.

We also enjoy the meta humor -- "freeze frame high five" and "three-way awkward pause" -- that works so well on the show. There's much more, but we don't want to ruin the whimsical randomness. Enjoy:
