'Country Strong' premiere: Gwyneth Paltrow, Leighton Meester, Faith Hill go country

The stars were goin' country at the premiere of "Country Strong" Monday night (Nov. 8) in the country capital itself Nashville, TN. Gwyneth Paltrow really shined on the red carpet in a short black cocktail dress -- we love the flouncy skirt.

Leighton Meester donned an interesting dress, but she's Blair Waldorf, so whatevs. She could come to a premiere in a burlap sack and we'd still adore her. Also on hand were husband and wife country duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

"Country Strong" is the story of the rise, fall and comeback of singer Kelly Canter (Paltrow), whose spotlight is stole by a younger rival, Chiles Stanton (Meester). Canter's husband/manager Ed is played by McGraw, who was last seen as Sandra Bullock's on-screen husband in the Oscar-winning "The Blind Side."

"Country Strong" opens nationwide Jan. 7, 2011.
