Carrie Prejean is pregnant: 'I'm trying to stay healthy, but it has been tough'

Beauty queen Carrie Prejean is three months pregnant. Prejean, who was criticized for her stance against marriage equality during the Miss USA pageant and later fired from her post as Miss California for violating her contract, is due in May.

"I'm due in May on my grandmother's birthday. She recently passed away, so that's very special to us," she tells Fox411.

Prejean's husband, Oakland Raiders quarterback Kyle Boller, is extremely happy. The couple wed in July and began trying to get pregnant about a month later. "I have the most beautiful pregnant wife ever," says Boller. "We are so in love and this was just the best news when we found out a couple of weeks ago."


The pregnancy hasn't been without struggle, though. "I'm trying to stay healthy, but it has been tough. I've been getting night sickness," Prejean says. The illness hasn't kept her from having fun, though. "We've started thinking about names, but we are keeping it to ourselves for right now. It has been fun looking at baby books."

The couple will find out the sex of their baby next week.
