Box Office: 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1' gets 125 million points for Gryffindor

daniel_radcliffe_emma_watson_rupert_grint_getty.jpgTen years into knowing Harry Potter, and we still haven't gotten tired of him. Though "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One" didn't break "Twilight: New Moon's" November Box Office opening weekend record, initial weekend estimates prove what we've known all along: America loves Harry.

In its first week, "Potter" opened in over 4,100 theaters and raked in an estimated $125,120,000. Yowza. Opening-night midnight screenings alone raked in $24 million as droves of die-hards headed to the theater, broomsticks and wands in hand.

The only other brand new release in the Top 12 is "The Next Three Days," which made $6.7 million.
