Ashton Kutcher, Hilary Swank are celebrating 'New Year's Eve'

new-years-eve-cast.jpg"New Year's Eve," director Garry Marshall's followup to "Valentine's Day," is attracting an ensemble that's just as star-studded as the previous film's was.

Ashton Kutcher -- who also starred in "Valentine's Day" -- Michelle Pfeiffer and Oscar winners Hilary Swank and Robert De Niro are all in talks to join the film's cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The movie will follow the intertwining love stories of New Yorkers on Dec. 31; "Valentine's Day" scribe Katherine Fugate is writing the script.

"Glee" star Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin ("Zombieland") have already signed on to the movie.

Kutcher will play a guy who hates celebrating New Year's Eve, the HR says. Swank will play a producer of the New Year's Eve show in Times Square, Pfeiffer a woman who's trying to fulfill her resolutions from the previous year and De Niro a man who's dying in a hospital.

The movie is scheduled to start shooting next month in New York and is slated for release in December 2011.

I think if Kutcher signs on, he'll have to play the same character. He is not talented enough to play a character in a semi-sequel that is different from the first film.

Ashton needs to retire from acting. He has no talent. He should stick to modeling. Two words you'll never hear to introduce Ashton Kutcher: Oscar Nominee.

I agree Ashton should stay out of acting. in fact, he's annoying on all counts!! so i wish he would retire from the public eye on ALL COUNTS.
