'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart got into character on 'Welcome to the Rileys' with stripper classes
Kristen Stewart gets edgy in the upcoming "Welcome to the Rileys" (out Oct. 22), and though she plays a stripper and a prostitute, you won't see some of the more adult scenes she filmed for the movie.
The actress tells Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa that all of her stripper scenes didn't make it into the film. "You don't end up seeing any of the pole dancing," she says, "but I did do it for two weeks."
She also conceeds that while she did enjoy it, it was quite a work out. "It was fun," she says. "It hurts, a lot. I had bruises all over my legs."The actress tells Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa that all of her stripper scenes didn't make it into the film. Stewart shot "Rileys" in New Orleans, with James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo, and heads back to the city in November for part of "Breaking Dawn." "I feel really at home there," she says, "every time I go back."
Another comforting thing about the "Rileys" shoot had to be her co-star, Gandolfini. When Philbin asked Stewart if she was intimidated by the "Sopranos" star, she said it couldn't have been more different.
"The director, Jake Scott... He told us to try to have the dynamic that Mowgli and Baloo have in 'The Jungle Book,'" says Stewart, "so if you imagine that and then imagine being intimidated, it doesn't really go."
