'Twilight: Breaking Dawn' adds 'Treme's' Wendell Pierce, others to cast

"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" has added eight people to its cast, several of whom will get their introduction to wide audiences with the film.

Producer Summit Entertainment hasn't announced what roles the eight actors -- Olga Fonda, Janelle Froehlich, Masami Kosaka, Sebastiao Lemos, Amadou Ly, Ty Olsson, Wendell Pierce and Carolina Virguez -- will play (they're all supporting parts). "Breaking Dawn" is scheduled to start filming next month in Louisiana and Vancouver.

The biggest name among the new cast members is Pierce, who stars in HBO's "Treme" and previously was a star of "The Wire." Olsson had a recurring part on "Battlestar Galactica" as Capt. Aaron Kelly and was a regular on ABC's "Defying Gravity."

Kosaka had a small role in "The Runaways," which starred "Twilight" veterans Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. Fonda has had bit parts on "Ugly Betty" and "How I Met Your Mother," and Froehlich appeared in a few episodes of the syndicated series "Hacienda Heights."

Ly (indie film "The Tested"), Brazilian actor Lemos and Spanish actress Virguez will all be making their American multiplex debuts with "Breaking Dawn."

"Breaking Dawn" will be released in two parts, with part one hitting theaters Nov. 18, 2011 and part two on Nov. 16, 2012.
