'Real Housewives of NJ's' Danielle Staub settles ex's $5 million suit
Just a day before her scheduled deposition, Zap2it has learned that Danielle Staub and ex-husband Kevin Maher are settling in his $5 million defamation suit against the former "Real Housewives of New Jersey" cast member.
Staub's videotaped deposition was to begin tomorrow (Oct. 5) in which she was to testify in regards to Maher's allegations that she lied about him raping her on a bed of broken glass, killing her dog and playing Russian Roulette with a loaded gun in her vagina to media, on the Bravo show and to her cast mates.
"She's been ducking and hiding from her deposition since this lawsuit has been filed," Maher told E!Online previously. "Oct. 5 will be the worst day of her life, when she is confronted under oath with all her lies. She's going to be destroyed."
Well, it seems as if she avoided destruction, huh? The two have taken several jabs at each other in the media since Maher announced his suit, which included a pretty damning testimony from Staub's former cast mate, Caroline Manzo.
The settlement is rumored to include a cash settlement among other agreements that have yet to be disclosed.
Staub and Maher's attorneys did not return our requests for confirmation by the time this article posted.
