President Obama on 'The Daily Show': 'We're going to have to work' for change
President Barack Obama joined Jon Stewart on "The Daily Show" Wednesday (Oct. 27) -- just one day after Ask Men declared Stewart "America's Most Influential Man," while the President was only 21st on the list, despite being in the top spot just two years ago. In the "Daily Show" interview, the President was serious in talking about about fulfilling campaign pledges and his accomplishments so far in office."When we promised during the campaign 'change you can believe in,' it wasn't 'change you can believe in 18 months. It was change you can believe in but, you know what, we're going to have to work for it," says the President.
When pressed about what Stewart characterized as "timid" achievements, the President responds, "Over and over again we have moved forward an agenda that is making a difference in people's lives each and every day. Now is it enough? No. I expect and I think most Democrats out there expect that people want to see more progress."
"If you told me two years ago that we're going to be able to stabilize the system, stabilize the stock market, stabilize the economy and, by the way, at the end of this thing it will cost less than 1 percent of GDP ... I'd say we'll take that," the President continues.
He ended his interview by urging Americans to vote. Watch the full interview below.

What's a matter Obama are you afraid to go on a real show like Fox News Channel. You go on other ones why not that one. Afraid you'll be discovered for what you really are ....A LOSER....We already know that.
"a real show like Fox News Channel" you have to be kidding, At least The Daily Show openly admits to being Satirical. Fox news does provide lots of laughs but the idea that anybody with even a shred of common sense takes it seriously is laughable.
lol, Brenda where did you get that opinion? Church? Just asking because people that take Fox News seriously aren't normally intelligent enough to make their own opinions and instead scavenge them from others. And don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Obama, I'm thoroughly disappointed with his performance. I'm just more strongly against blatant idiocy.
Their is no such thing as a Fox News channel... Their is a Fox Noise channel. A channel whose boss gives millions of dollars to support Republican causes.
NO OTHER REAL NEWS CHANNEL GIVES MONEY TO SUPPORT EITHER PARTY...
Fox is a joke...
Brenda, go crawl back in your hole! What a stupid statement to make! Fox news makes up their stories and tells lie after lie, and idiots like you believe them!
Fox isn't a joke, its a serious social disease: it has affected millions of Americans and caused their minds to malfunction by believing distorted Truth, fabrications as reality and hate-disguised discrimination. It IS a disease.
Bob you got it right. There's nothing I can add.
"real show like FOX news", are you kidding me? It makes me sick to think that people as stupid as you might be voting in a few days. Do America a favor and stay
home! Let INFORMED citizens make
the decisions.
i'm sorry i snorted with laughter when i read "real show" and "fox news channel" in the same sentence.
Isn't Fox news a comedy?
