Mandy Moore: 'Tangled' on Broadway could be hairy

It's not that Mandy Moore wouldn't love to be in a Broadway version of "Tangled," Disney/Pixar's new animated 3D movie about the tale of Rapunzel, a girl with magical hair that can never be cut.

It's just that it could get hairy.

"That would be fun," Mandy tells Zap2it. "But the process of talking about that hair for the couple of days ... I'd have to do some kind of neck strength-ending exercise, a lot of core work. It could get heavy. But in my mind, i already see the art direction with the hair over the audience, woven overhead into the ceiling or something."

Wonder if Julie Taymor would be for this follicle challenge?

mandy-moore-tangled.jpgThe songs (written by Disney's go to composer) Alan Menken) performed by Mandy, her costars "Chuck's" Zachary Levi (who does the voice of Flynn Rider) and Donna Murphy (as Mother Gothel) are definitely great Broadway material.

Mandy also talks about the challenges of doing voice-over work (alone), singing as a character (not just herself) and about meeting the new "Tangled" characters who are now living in Disneyland, close to the Dumbo ride in Fantasy Ll\and.

The film opens on Nov. 24, just in time for Thanksgiving. Its definitely family-friendly, a funny, action-packed story about a young girl's journey to self-discovery, a handsome egocentric thief, a misguided but noble horse, a treacherous 'mother' and other engaging characters.

And the 3D is "Avatar"-quality, the best we've seen yet in an animated film. It definitely makes it worth wearing those uncomfortable glasses.
