Jodie Foster confirms Mel Gibson 'Hangover 2' cameo: Cool or creepy?
Despite the fact that Mel Gibson's buzzed about film, "Beaver" -- directed by Jodie Foster -- is not being released anytime soon, the beleaguered actor will make a cameo in the upcoming "The Hangover 2."
Gibson's role as a tattoo artist (think Tom Cruise in "Tropic Thunder") was confirmed by Foster, who tells "Extra," "He is incredibly loved by everyone that's ever come into contact with him or works with him. He is truly the most loved man in the film business, so, hopefully that stands for something."
The film, a sequel to the 2009 hit comedy, will star Bradley Cooper and the original crew. It's starting production soon and a release date is scheduled for May 2011.
Gibson may be hoping that some levity may lighten up his blackened rep after allegations by Oksana Grigorieve that he hit her, their baby, broke her teeth, etc, etc.
And then there are all those taped ranting phone calls with vile racist and misogynistic insults.
What do you think about Mel being funny in "Hangover 2"? Great idea or terrible idea?
