Elle Fanning vs. Emma Roberts: Which one is smoking hot?

Super talented actresses Elle Fanning, 12, and Emma Roberts, 19, were two of the youngest faces at Monday's (Oct 18) 17th annual Elle Women in Hollywood Awards, sponsored by L'Oreal, David Yurman and Calvin Klein.

Emma, who will star in the new "Scream 4", wore a sexy, low-backed sequined Jenny Packham  frock with dark Taylor Momsen-esque black eyeshadow. The much taller Elle wore a frothy  white chiffon Marchesa empire waist party dress. Elle was with her "Somewhere" director Sofia Coppola and costar Stephen Dorff, who plays  her father in the film that shot in the Chateau Marmont, infamous hangout of many young actresses.

But right after the two young ladies posed for this photo together, the Dish Rag overheard Emma telling her (presumed) publicist, "She's only 12! She looks so much older than me. I'm so jealous!"

That's something you don't often hear in Hollywood: An actress wanting to look older. Wonder how long that phase will last.

Emma certainly acted older than Elle Monday night. She was sipping Moet Chandon bubbly during the awards.

And according to scoop sniffing Gossip Hound Marc Malkin, the actress was seen smoking a cigarette at the Scream awards on Saturday (Oct 16). He reported that she waved to "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart, 20, who was also smoking backstage.

Did we mention that Taylor Momsen, 17,  also smokes?

Maybe young actresses think puffing makes them look more mature. One thing's for sure, if these ladies really do want to look older (we're talking wrinkles, sags and crow's feet) just keep smoking. It will age the skin quicker than you can say 'lung cancer'.
