'Twilight's' Taylor Lautner gets settlement, donates money to charity
Taylor Lautner recently sued McMahon's RV for failing to deliver a trailer for him to the set of "Abduction" by June 21. The two parties have reached a settlement wherein McMahon's RV pays $40,000 to Lautner, which he will then donate to The Lollipop Theater Network, a children's charity, reports US Weekly. The suit was initially filed citing "emotional distress," which some took as an indication of diva-like behavior. But an insider tells US that that is not the case.
"This was never a suit about money. It was to hold someone accountable," says the insider. "Taylor never ordered a customized RV -- it was a used RV which needed simple safety-related repairs. There was never any diva behavior. 'Emotional distress' is an automatic checked box on a fraudulent claim."

Go Taylor.. he is such a generous man. love him
gay.
and untalented.
So glad to hear the real reason for the suit. From what I've heard about Taylor, I found it hard to believe he was acting like a "diva". It's cool that he purchased a used RV. I've heard him on talk shows say his parents have taught him to not spend everything, just because you have it currently.
He is not only talented, but very generous, also.
Oohhh! Look at that spin...
At least he's donating it.
That RV dealership is so crocked. I'm glad that Taylor was able to teach them a lesson and that a worthy charity benefits from it. I'm a nurse at a children's hospital, we use those movies to distract kids right before surgery, a painful procedure, or to just keep their spirits going. I didn't even know that Taylor Lautner knew about that charity. Maybe some kid in his family was hospitalized before. Well God bless his heart.
jake and angie, what idiots. closet **** and outright *****
I've dealt with those RV croaks and got the shaft. It makes me happy 2x. One at least he used his star power to get the dealers to ante up and then put the money to good cause. Way to make a bad situation into something positive.
People have been so mean to Taylor in response to this, and I'm sick of it! Lautners, ordered and PAID for a trailer to be delivered on set ( a customary requirement for even supporting, supporting actors to have.)Usually the filming company is required to pay/provide it, But Taylor bought his own! Did you see him trying to rest between takes on top of the old GMC camera truck? The weather this August has been record setting in that part of the country...where was Taylor's Air Conditioned respite?
The movie set is Taylor's Place of business...The trailer or other nearby facility considered his OFFICE. How would you like to be with out your office in 100 degree weather, or have no place to conduct your other items of business and personal affairs. No place to escape fans and paparazzi..to rest in between takes, practice lines.
A movie set works 12, 15, 16 and more hours a day.....theres is no waiting till he gets home.
He prevailed in his gripe, got the money back he paid , and then GAVE THE MONEY AWAY!!!
Taylor L is the most NON diva star today! JUST ASK THE PEOPLE WHO KNOW...his costars!!! Everyone loves him on and off set!
hey it was the MEDIA who called him a diva, just looking for a quick story. His fans never believed he was a diva and now it looks like we were right all alonge. love u Taylor!! ignore the haters.
I'm glad this whole situation got sorted and Taylor turned it into a win win situation, whilst also showing that RV outfit what for. He's such a good guy and didn't deserve any of the stupid "diva" comments levelled at him. Good one Taylor. You're a sweetie to donate the money to sick children!
