'Twilight: Eclipse' gets re-release in time for Bella's fake birthday
What does Bella Swan really want for her birthday? Topping $300 million in domestic ticket sales, duh.And Summit, the studio behind the "Twilight" franchise, shares her wish. That's why they're re-releasing "Eclipse" in honor of the fictional occasion.
"Eclipse" heads back to theaters Friday, Sept. 10, and Deadline reports that one good weekend of super-fan-driven sales will likely give its current $298.8 million haul just the push it needs.
Bella's actual birthday isn't until Monday, so the weekend take should be a nice present for her -- at least better than her last birthday when a paper-cut got her attacked and dumped.
In other news, we can no longer distinguish fiction from reality.

well this is obviously a ploy to get past 300 million. but the movie is still in release now so im assuming they will just be adding theatres. anyway im sure it will work, some twilight fans are nuts. It worked for getting the dark knights worldwide gross up to a billion, although their reasoning of re-releasing it to build oscar buzz after it had stopped playing is far less crazy then honoring a fictional characters birthday, which lets face it is bull.
Returning to theaters? It's still in theaters here and I don't exactly live in a populist mecca.
I can watch this movie for 50 cents on tuesdays at the dollar movies in Garland,Tx a small suburb near Dallas Tx I don't think this will work here in Tx.
when the hell does breaking dawn come out!
Breaking Dawn part 1 is not scheduled for release until 11-2011 and Breaking Dawn part 2 is scheduled for release 11-2010. We have a long wait for Breaking Dawn. :-(
Twilight fans in the Philippines raves for BREAKING DAWN and MIDNIGHT SUN. We've seen Twilight, Newmoon and Eclipse. We really like Twilight and Eclipse so that we will surely watch Eclipse again and again in theaters. We don't like Newmoon so much because we thought it is more of a Jacob thing. The saga should concentrate on the story of human falling in love with vampire Edward and not with werewolf.We are very excited of the BREAKING DAWN and Edwards version of the story in the MIDNIGHT SUN.We noticed that Kristen Stewarts' voice is rather monotunous when she narrates, we can't wait when it's Edwards turn to do the thing. ROBERT PATTINSON seems to be very charming and full of life aside from being so georgeously handsome! Filipinas are crazy about the guy!!!

There's nothing fake about Bella's birthday (at least I think September 13th is real). Rather, it's the character who's fake.
So the headline should read, "Eclipse Re-Released in Time for Fake Bella's Birthday."
As for not being able to distinguish fiction from reality, well, it kinda sucks that a fictional character is more famous and better-liked than we are, doesn't it?
