'The Roommate' trailer: Leighton Meester goes 'Single White Female' on Minka Kelly

We came across the trailer for "The Roommate" a short time ago, and now that we've recovered from watching it, we thought we'd share it with you.

The movie, scheduled for release in February, stars Minka Kelly ("Friday Night Lights") as a college student and "Gossip Girl's" Leighton Meester as the clingy, unstable and very possibly homicidal person the college housing office assigns as Kelly's roommate. Think "Single White Female" in a dorm room.

Frankly, it looks like an unintentional hoot, with Meester dialing up the crazy to a very high level (the final shot of the trailer, with Meester watching Kelly sleep? Camptastic). The film also features several other CW stars, including "Hellcats" star Aly Michalka, "90210's" Matt Lanter and "One Tree Hill" alum Danneel Harris. Cam Gigandet of "Twilight" is also in the cast.
