Spurned Susan Boyle walks off 'America's Got Talent'
Susan Boyle can't catch a break. The "Britain's Got Talent" runner-up was set to perform on the Sept. 8 episode of its stateside spin-off, but then singer Lou Reed banned her from singing his hit "Perfect Day."
Apparently nothing else in her repertoire felt right.
TMZ reports that "America's Got Talent" producers asked for Reed's permission -- only to be denied on the grounds of Reed just not being a SuBo fan. Apparently nothing else in her repertoire felt right.
Boyle was apparently so upset by the news, she left the set in tears and headed straight to Los Angeles International Airport for a flight back to the U.K.
And the Scottish Girls go doo do doo do doo do do doo...

This song is the first track on her new album and he didn't dislike her enough to prevent her from recording it and collecting millions in royalties like Keith Richards and Mick Jagger did on Wild Horses, introduced on this same show last year. They should take this track off the album. He ought not to get a penny royalties.There was no time to prepare another song as he only informed them as they were en route to LA. Susan had no choice. I would have been damned upset had I traveled 10 hours for nothing. And she has to sing for the Pope next Thursday so she is on a tight schedule. Nothing unusual about that. ANYONE would have been upset. I would have killed the guy.

Susan Boyle's new album will be a huge success with or without this song. People are mean because of jealousies, evil natures, etc. However she will rise above this, get stronger, and release a top selling knock out album this year and for many years to come.
Susan did not "walk off" of AGT; she very graciously traveled all this way and then was given the devastating news that she would not be allowed to sing. Show me anyone who would not be in brokenhearted tears. I can assure you, Susan's fans here in the USA are hurting with her and we WILL stand by her side in any way we can. Both her album and book sales are going to SOAR even bigger than her first album. Your fans love you, Susan, and are saddened to see some in the press and unkind posters seeking to add to your hurt. We are here for our Susan.
I vote for the song to be removed from the cd.
I second the vote for this song to be removed from the upcoming album. Lou Reed shouldn't get a penny from Susan's album. He doesn't deserve any royalties!
Lou Reed is becoming a crotchety old man. Too bad. I wonder how Laurie Anderson feels about this. She is so amazing, I can't imagine. I hope this news story is wrong.
Who is Lou Reed? Never heard the name in my life.
I hope that Sony eats the loss and cuts that hideous song from the CD.
It sucks almost as much as Lou Reed's voice.
