Michael Bay offers reward for puppy-throwing girl, too

PETA isn't the only one out to nab the red-hooded girl who threw six puppies into a fast-moving river and then uploaded video of it online. And if their $2,000 reward for information leading to her capture doesn't get anywhere, maybe $50,000 will.

That's the number "Transformers" director Michael Bay is apparently willing to fork out. Gawker reports Bay saw the video and was outraged by it -- so much so he had an employee take to his official site to address the matter.

And though the post no longer appears on MichaelBay.com, Gawker has an excerpt:

"There is a disturbing video going around the news outlets. It's a video of blonde young woman in a red sweatshirt casually tossing squealing puppies into the fast-moving river one by one.

Michael Bay has informed me that he is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the woman in the red sweatshirt and the person who shot this act of cruelty."

She might not be that hard to track down after all. A purported apology video, posted by a "Katja Puschnik," went live, claiming the puppies were sick and the river-toss was a mercy killing ordered by her grandmother -- an argument that wouldn't even fly during medieval times.
