Matthew McConaughey's shocking weight loss: Fad diet or Photoshop?
From the looks of Matthew McConaughey's new Dolce & Gabbana fragrance ad, he's dropped a few kilos. The usually beach-buff and bare-chested hunk looks as if he's lost his admirable abs and broad shoulders and now appears much more European in silhouette. Even his face looks scary gaunt. And don't get us started on those creepy feminine fingers.
Please tell us this is just a strange angle or overzealous Photoshopping and that Mattie hasn't gone all Christian Bale (at left) in "The Mechanic."Lord knows Hollywood actresses, celebs and fashion models go through this kind of skinnying up treatment on billboards, ads and magazine covers.
It's just unusual to see the slenderizing done to a man.
What do you think of Mattie's new sleek physique in his D&G ad?

bales movie is "the machinist" not "the mechanic"
LOL... she cant even get the name of the movie right... poor thing.
McConaughey looks better (post weight loss). in the first photo he looks slightly overweight/bulky but in the second he looks normal slender, nice. why in the US does everyone think that if you are normal weight then you are too thin?? i mean especially for men. just cause most of the guys in US are too big, doesn't make that "normal."
He looks way to thin in the D&G ad. He's heartthrob status was due in major part to his strong arms and chest... let's hope this was photoshop.
I agree with you, Paolo. When you are in shape and thin, everyone starts accusing you of being anorexic. I guess it's because we have way too many obese people in this country who don't realize that being thin is how you are SUPOSE to look. There's a difference between being thin and being anorexic. You can spot an anorexic body a mile away, and it is way more than thin. I think Matt looks great.
What I find really amusing is that Matthew is posing for ad for a men's fragrance. It has been said that he doesn't believe in wearing deodorant. Maybe he thinks the D&G Fragrance will cover up the body odor.
Obvious overdone Photoshop job.
Look at his nose in both pictures- they are different- I'm thinking photoshop
His head obviously does not fit his body. The issue I have with this photo is directly related to the proportion of his head to his body.
I agree with Paolo too. Here in the US, people have gotten so used to large as the normal look. Big muscles does not make you healthy. Being slim does not mean you are sick. I talk from personal experience. All my life, my family, friends and even teachers have commented on and made fun of my thin frame. It's really amazing how you can be made to feel bad for things (fast metabolism) you have no control over. People need to concentrate more on their own health and appearance before commenting on others'.
