'Dancing With the Stars': Patrick Swayze's widow weighs in on Jennifer Grey's first dance
Jennifer Grey waltzed her way to the highest score of the evening at the premiere of DWTS. She performed to "These Arms of Mine", a song she helped make famous with Patrick Swayze
in "Dirty Dancing." The premiere episode was watched by an impressive 17.7 million people, but there was one very special viewer that also caught the dance.
Patrick Swayze's widow Lisa Nieme, tuned in to support Jennifer and spoke with "Access Hollywood Live" about the actress' first dance.
Lisa told Access: "It can't help remind you -- remind me -- of how much I miss him, but when it came to the actual dance, I was with her. I thought that dancing to 'These Arms of Mine,' she did every bit as good a job as I thought she would and then some. Jennifer is a natural talent and she brought this kind of special sensuality. She's such a great actress... And then with 'These Arms of Mine' playing, it just added that extra magic and I was just super thrilled." We have a feeling that Patrick would have been just as pleased with the dance and that Jennifer will be making more "magic" on the dance floor for weeks to come.

I love DWTS. I have watched since the beginning. Patrick was on the 1st season. They had a tribute to him last season.Patrick was a BIG FAN of DWTS. For Jennifer to be on this season to dance to a song from DD. In a way it seemed you could feel his presence there. He was saying I am so proud of you. I taught you well. When Jennifer broke down during rehearsal.I got tears in my eyes. She danced beautifully. It all started w/Patrick, & DD. It has been 1yr-1wk. since Patrick's death. Lisa was on the set of DD. I can not imagine how hard it was for Lisa to sit & watch, hear the music. All those memories.Lisa gave a great interview. Jennifer should win. Not because of DD, Patrick, Lisa. Because she is giving it her all. She seems so natural. To be a really GREAT dancer you have to become the music. The rhythm has to take over. You become the dance. To me this is what Jennifer did. Good Luck Jennifer. I hope you win. For You. Lisa I cannot say I know how you feal, but I know you & Patrick have a connection a True Love that goes beyond even now. This is very rare. This is very precious. Everyone wants this, but very few are lucky enough to find it. My Sister has found it since 14. My heart goes out to you. Patrick was always proud of you. I know he is watching out for you now.I know w/Patrick being such a public person it was hard on both of you. The lack of privacy. Thank you for being the person you are & allowing Patrick to share his wonderful talents w/all of us. He left a wonderful legacy that we may all continue to enjoy. Now we have another w/Jennifer on DWTS. She had the talent to dance. Patrick brought it out in DD. So it continues.
I loved Dirty Dancing Movie so much I have watched it many many times. Both were wonderful dancers and Pat was a great teacher. Still miss him.
