'Dancing with the Stars'' Karina Smirnoff optimistic about her 'Situation'
We know he's got his "Jersey Shore" obligations, but Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino better hope for natural ability to make up for his abbreviated rehearsal time for his upcoming "Dancing with the Stars" turn. He and partner Karina Smirnoff have yet to step out on the floor together -- or meet, for that matter.
MTV reports that Smirnoff, while excited about her new partner, is a tad nervous about the duo's lead time before the series' Sept. 20 premiere, which could be as short as five days.But the win-less "DWTS" pro remains optimistic.
"It's going to be a lot of work, but if there is anyone I can win with it's going to be Mike," says Smirnoff. That excitement is, of course, rooted in her being a fan of the show. "I love 'Jersey Shore,'" she says. "When I found out who the cast was going to be I was hoping that I would get paired with The Situation. I think he is hysterical."
Of course he is. But he better get down to business when he starts training later this month. His competition already has a one week advantage.

Karina shouldn't worry too much. It's not like she's working with the next Kate Gosselin. She's working with a hottie that has natural rhythm and dance skills. That and the millions of Jersey Shore fans that follow him over to Dancing With The Stars will carry Team Sorrentinoff far into the competition anyway, but she better not clean off shelf space for her very first DWTS Mirrorball Trophy just yet. She still has to come up with some great choreography and they have to sell it to the judges and to the audience because just okay choreography won't get them past the big dogs on this year's roster; Brandy, David HasselHoff, Jennifer Grey,Rick Fox, etc, etc, etc.

I like Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and I think he'll do pretty well on DWTS. As for him being a retard, I believe most of it's an act. Anyone who can score $5 million dollars in a year for being a Guido, is stupid like a fox.
