Bullying victim Seth Walsh dies ten days after hanging himself
Seth Walsh, 13, died Tuesday (Sept 28) after being on life support for ten days. According to CBS News, he'd hanged himself on Sept 19 from a tree in his backyard after years of relentless bullying. He was found unconscious and airlifted to the hospital.
An investigation was launched into the bullying that pushed Seth to take his own life. The kids at Jacobsen Middle School in Tehachapi, California, who were interviewed by police were upset and regretted enabling the bullying. But according to law, they did not commit a crime.
He made it only two weeks into the current school year before having to be transferred to an independent study program.
He died surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his grandmother Judy Walsh, mother Wendy Walsh, and three siblings, ages 11, 17, and 18.
Seth's death follows the deaths of other young bullying victims -- 13-year-old Asher Brown's recent suicide in Texas (he shot himself), and 15-year-old Billy Lucas's hanging suicide in Indiana -- according to Queerty.com.
There will be a memorial service on Friday (Oct 1) at 3:30 P.M. at the Tehachapi First Baptist Church.
RIP, little Seth.

so, so sad. This is a hate crime as sure as I'm standing here. Bullying a kid because of his sexual orientation is against the newly litigated law against such things. These bullies can be brought up on charges and should be.
such a sad story.. those poor kids.. i hope someday- all schools would be bully-free.
