Box Office: 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps' takes a greedy $7 million Friday

wall-street-2-500.jpg"Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" took the Friday office box, but that's okay because greedy is good. It opened to a nice $7 million, putting it on pace to have a $21 million opening weekend, which would be director Oliver Stone's best opening weekend ever, according to The Wrap.

Second place went to Ben Affleck's "The Town" at $5.1 million, which is still a strong showing for its second weekend. "Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" came in third with $4.5 million, which is lower than expected for the family fare.

But the "Owls" still beat out the star-studded "You Again," which boasts Kristen Bell, Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis and It Girl Betty White. It only nabbed $2.7 million on Friday night. In fact, "You Again" didn't even beat fellow comedy "Easy A," which earned $3.6 million Friday and should earn just under $11 million for the weekend.

There were three limited releases. "Waiting for Superman" earned $52,000 at just four locations, Woody Allen's new movie "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger" brought in $45,000 at six theaters and Ryan Reynolds' "Buried" scared up $34,000 in 11 theaters.
