Wyclef Jean can't run for Haitian presidency -- or can he?
Contrary to reports that Wyclef Jean isn't on the approved list of candidates for Haiti's upcoming presidential election, the Fugees singer isn't officially out of the running yet.The list, originally slated to be revealed Aug. 19, and then Aug 20, now might not even be ready for another week. Wyclef remains optimistic in his tweets: "We await the decision of the Electoral Council,To see if I made the list as a Candidate. As it is written So Shall it be Done!"
We hope accurately quoting Yul Brynner is not one of the Haitian government's points of eligibility.
UPDATE: Wyclef Jean was not listed as those deemed eligible to run for the President of Haiti. No explanation was given as to why.

Man this is probably the only case of haiti being relatively smart.. you have to live in the country for a minimum of 5 years prior to running for President...
It would have been nice if the USA had a law that you have to be second generation born in America... back in 1776 they didnt need it but today ... If your mom crosses the border 8 months pregnant illegally and gives birth to you ... you can legally run for president of the USA ... there is something wrong about that.
Yup the quote is "So shall it be writen, so shall it be done. The only quotefrom the movie I can remember so it wss probably said more than once.Actually there was also a quote something like "Moses , Moses , you mad impetuous Moses " that was memorable but I don't think memorable enough for me to quote exactly right.
Maybe soros money would help get the will of the people overturned by the courts and elect a guy that can't even run a corruption free charity....rolls eyes.
