Shannon Marketic, Miss USA 1992, arrested for shoplifting

Shannon Marketic, who competed as Miss California and was crowned Miss USA in 1992, was arrested Monday (Aug. 2) for shoplifting in Denton, TX, according to police. She was charged with shoplifting goods from a Target store, according to Fox News out of Dallas.The total worth of the items was roughly $87. Marketic was freed Tuesday (Aug. 3) on a $500 bond. This is not her first run-in with the law. She was also arrested at the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport in 2007 for public intoxication. She told police she thought she was in Washington D.C. at the time.
Perhaps former Miss USAs could start a bad girls club -- Shannon Marketic, Carrie Prejean and Tara Conner can be the co-founders.

This is probably karma for lying on stage at the Miss USA pageant about what a good Christian she was when she'd been quite "busy" throughout high school, and treated everyone else like dirt.
She looked much better in jr. high and high school than she does now, that's for sure.
There are old stories about some pageant contestants sabotaging other contestants.
Sadly, Miss USA, Kelly something went into the porn business.
But you'll see in the upcoming Miss Universe, the latinas, especially who are surgically enhanced. Also, they have practiced how to walk like ladies of the evening, for years.
And the judges favor them over classy contestants!

Actually, the judges favoring Latinas is only because the Miss Universe pagent is a buisness like any other. Run by Donald Trump, I am sure that the judges are told to favor the Latinas, because the pagent is much more popular in Latin America than elsewhere. Trump is simply playing to his audience to make more money. Is it fair? No, but who cares? It is only insignificant entertainment, no worse than fixing some stupid sports event.
