Paris Hilton awakened by knife-carrying intruder

Yikes: Paris Hilton called police early Tuesday (Aug. 24) after she was awakened by a man banging on her window -- and carrying knives, she says.

Los Angeles police arrested the man about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to KTLA. (Video of Hilton shortly after the arrest, standing on her balcony wrapped in a towel or bathrobe, is above.) TMZ identifies the man as Nathan Lee Parada, 31, and says he's been arrested on a felony burglary charge.

"So Scary, just got woken up to a guy trying to break into my house holding 2 big knifes [sic]. Cops are here arresting him," Hilton tweeted after police arrived. She also posted a photo of several officers on her lawn, along with a man in handcuffs with his back to the camera.

The socialite/reality TV star says she woke up to the sound of someone banging on the windows of her Sherman Oaks home early Tuesday. She then saw the man on the camera of her home security system and called police. The intruder did not actually break into the house.
