Nancy O'Dell returns to the Emmys red carpet; reveals celebrities in her new book

Former "Access Hollywood" host Nancy O'Dell returns to one of the past times that made her a household name.

O'Dell will serve as special host of the 62nd annual Emmy Awards Coverage for CBS National News on Sunday (Aug. 29). She'll be greeting TV's brightest stars on the red carpet and conducting one-on-one interviews with nominees and winners on the big awards night. Following Emmy night, O'Dell will be featured Monday on CBS's "The Early Show" to give viewers the full "inside Emmys" report.
 
"I can't wait to see all my celebrity pals! I've only taken a break from the red carpet for a few months, but it will feel great to do my thing again for such a great entity," Nancy tells Zap2it.

In addition to O'Dell's CBS Emmy gig, she's keeping busy hosting shows on a broad list of other broadcast and cable networks. She will be hosting ABC's Fall TV Preview special set to air in September.



Most recently, O'Dell also hosted Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's Nashville Rising Concert along with country music's finest to benefit the flooding victims, Critic's Choice Awards Special on VH1, and the VH1/Pepsi Fan Jam Super Bowl Live Concert.
 
Additionally, a spokesperson for O'Dell also tells Zap2it exclusively that she has just signed an additional "dream" television deal and an official announcement is forthcoming.

No stranger to the big screen either, O'Dell returns for her third cameo in the 'Scream' film franchise with an appearance in the highly anticipated 'Scream 4' which is starring, well, just about every young star in Hollywood at this point.
 
O'Dell's second book "Full of Love" available October 1 is also receiving the red carpet treatment. Her rep tells Zap2it that the forward for the book is penned by O'Dell's great friend and country superstar Garth Brooks, and includes quotes and personal photos from celebrities Jamie Foxx, Celine Dion, Richard Gere, Madonna and more.
