Hilary Duff marries hockey player Mike Comrie

Hilary Duff got to act out her own real-life Cinderella story Saturday (Aug. 14) at her wedding to hockey player Mike Comrie.

The 22-year-old Duff and the 29-year-old Comrie exchanged vows at a sunset ceremony in Santa Barbara, Calif., her rep tells OK! magazine. About 100 guests attended the outdoor wedding.

Duff wore a Vera Wang gown and was escorted down the aisle by her mother, Susan. Sister Haylie Duff was her maid of honor.

Comrie, who played for the NHL's Edmonton Oilers last season, proposed to Duff during a vacation in Hawaii in February. They've been together since 2007, when they met on a trip to a resort in Idaho.

Duff, who had a recurring part on "Gossip Girl" last season, is set to star in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde," but she said earlier this year that the project hadn't really gotten off the ground. Her other recent credits include an ABC Family movie, "Beauty and the Briefcase," and an indie called "Bloodworth" that's played at a couple of film festivals this year.

Comrie is currently a free agent; NHL teams open training camp in September.
