'Harry Potter's' Emma Watson's new pixie hair cut: Love it or hate it?

emma-watson-hair-cut.jpgTalk about a drastic change! "Harry Potter" star Emma Watson is Hermoine Granger no more. While in New York City doing press for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," Watson stopped by the salon for a haircut. (Though the word 'haircut' may be an understatement.)

"Feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like," Watson wrote on her official Facebook, attaching the above photo. She's always been a fashionista, so we're not surprised that Watson's risk-taking has extended to chopping off her signature wavy locks.

Now that she's left Hermione behind, having wrapped the final "Potter" movie this summer, Watson will be headed back to Brown University in Rhode Island for her sophomore year. Classes kick off September 1st... with her new 'do, Watson will be even more recognizable on campus. Plus, her brown eyes look even bigger now!

Zappers, weigh in on Emma's new style in the poll below.

It will definitely take getting used to... but she will always look gorgeous. And hey, it's just hair :)

Girls with boy-ishly short hair=erectile dyfunction for men.
Hello Natalie Portman, you guys were hot before the haircuts.

She is set for life and doesn't need to work another day in her life, pretty awesome she's going back to school instead of being some LA socialite like Lindsey or Paris.

I love Emma's new do!

still fapable, carry on...

would look better if her hair wasn't naturaly curly

I like Emma Watson and she has every right to do what she wants but I just dont like this haircut. She looks kinda like a boy. I hate to say that but she does. It's she trying to do the Mia Farrow or Twiggy look? She's a beautiful girl but I am a tad biased, I like long hair. Oh well, she will do fine regardless of her hair.

She looks fabulous!

Doesn't almost every young actress - or young woman, actually - go through this phase? She has a beautiful face and it does accentuate her eyes.

Works better on her than on Carey Mulligan. I don't see the big panic. Unless she's a 41 year old guy who is starting to resemble Gavin Macleod (sob!) it's gonna grow back!
