Gertrude 'Luna' Vachon found dead at age 48

Former WWE wrestler Gertrude "Luna" Vachon has passed away at the age of 48, according to TMZ. Law enforcement sources tell them Vachon's body was found by her mother around 10 a.m. ET this morning in their Florida home. Authorities do not suspect foul play, but an autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death. Vachon wrestled in the WW from 1993 to 2000 and was known as wrestler Bam-Bam Bigelow's lady in the world of wrestling.
Bleacher Report has written a nice obituary about Vachon's passing. "A woman who was one of the most successful, influential and unique women's wrestlers had been found dead at her mother's home ... I would like to send my condolences to the family of Gertrude Vachon. She was a legend who will be remembered as one of the toughest women on the planet."

So sad to hear this...she had also lost all her stuff in a fire according to Mick Foley most recently. So young too. First Lance Cade and now her. RIP Luna.

Those steroids will do it to you...she's not the first wrestler who has died an early age from roids..
I'm very sorry to hear that. Steroids or not, anyone going that young, and to be found by her mother, is awful.
I love how people just assume that it was steroids or something of that nature. What if she got her body from the old fashion way and busted her *** in the ring and in the gym? Just because she was a wrestler does not mean she automatically was hooked on steroids! I have known several people that have passed at a very young age that was due to natural causes.
iam sorry this has happend iv met her she also came to a little boys party. and took pictures with my nephew. she will be missed rest in peace.
