Erykah Badu fined for her 'Window Seat' striptease

erykah-badu-getty.jpgRemember Erykah Badu's "Window Seat" video? You know, the one where she took off her clothes while taking a stroll through downtown Dallas?

Well, it turns out that the powers that be in Big D weren't real happy with that.

Badu was fined $500 and given six months of probation for the stunt, the AP reports. She was hit with a disorderly-conduct citation following the March video shoot after a witness to the filming filed a complaint.

The "Window Seat" video (watch it here) features Badu strolling around Dealey Plaza in Dallas -- the place where President John F. Kennedy was shot in 1963 -- and gradually stripping down to nothing. In case the JFK connection isn't clear enough, the video opens with voiceover of news coverage from that day and ends with Badu acting as though she's been shot.

Badu paid the $500 fine on Friday (Aug. 13), a spokesman for the city of Dallas says.
