Cyndi Lauper just wants to have fun at ET's Emmy party

There will be a lot of girls who just wanna have fun at the "Entertainment Tonight" Emmy party on Sunday, Aug 29.

The iconic singer Cyndi Lauper will be performing at the ET Emmy bash held  at Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles, following the primetime Emmy show.

"Cyndi Lauper is timeless," says Linda Bell Blue, exec producer for "ET" and "The Insider." "She's a fantastic and exciting performer. Our guests are in for a surprise, because you don't know what to expect with Cyndi!"

Lauper adds, "The ET party is supposed to be off the hook! And since I'm doing it, were going to have some fun."

With over 25 years in the music biz and global record sales over 30 million, Cyndi Lauper is a entertainment icon.

She's been nominated for 13 Grammy Awards, 2 Emmy Awards, 2 American Music Awards and 18 MTV Awards. She's also an Emmy Award winner for her guest starring role on "Mad About You."

Cyndi has appeared on the FOX hit "Bones" and recently competed on "Celebrity Apprentice." She's also appeared on "30 Rock," "Gossip Girl" and "American Idol," as well as films including "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle," "Life With Mikey" and "The Opportunist." And then there's Broadway and her role in "Threepenny Opera."

In June, Cyndi released her 11th studio album entitled "Memphis Blues," now the #1 blues album in the U.S., featuring blues greats B.B. King, Jonny Lang, Allen Toussaint, Ann Peebles and Charlie Musselwhite. And did we mention that Cyndi and Lady Gaga are doing a MAC Viva Glam campaign to raise money for AIDS research?

If this gal doesn't make you get up and dance, nothing will.
