Abby Elliott, Fred Armisen have an 'SNL' romance

"Saturday Night Live" is mixing in a little on-set romance with its comedy sketches this season.Fred Armisen, who separated from wife Elisabeth Moss ("Mad Men") earlier this year, is now dating his "SNL" co-star Abby Elliott. That's according to Life & Style, which also broke the news of Moss and Armisen's split. (The couple separated in May but had managed to keep things quiet until last week.)
"After the split, Fred sought comfort in Abby," a source tells the magazine. "They just started dating a few months ago. Fred and Abby are getting to know each other in a romantic way and taking things slowly."
Elliott, 23, is the daughter of actor Chris Elliott. She joined "SNL" in 2008 and has been a featured player for the past two seasons. The 43-year-old Armisen has been a cast member since 2002.
"Saturday Night Live" will begin its 36th season on NBC in September, at which point fans can begin looking for romantic subtext in any sketches Elliott and Armisen do together.

Will he be seeing to it that she gets more camera time? Nowadays it looks like Kristen Wiig does all the female roles in all of SNL's sketchs. This reminds me of way back when, when Bill Murray & Gilda Radner had a thing going on..made many sketchs funnier..hope this has the same effect.

I am sad that Fred and Elizabeth broke up, though, regardless of what is happening between him and Abby now. Fred and Elizabeth seemed like a good couple. I saw them playing charades on some show earlier this year and they seemed to have such good chemistry together. Couples are too quick to break-up. Try to fix it!
