Soccer stud Landon Donovan is NOT going to be a dad

World Cup U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan is not, we repeat, not going to be a daddy.

He made a statement to Sports Illustrated last month when he was  informed of the possibility that a British woman was pregnant with his child.

Donovan, 28, who is still separated from his wife, "Rules of Engagement" actress Bianca Kajlich, did not challenge or deny the U.K. report. All he said was that if it turned out to be true, "I will provide the appropriate support."

Now he can breathe a major league sigh of relief.

"I will not be a dad any time soon, which is good news for me," Donovan told E! Online at the ESPY Awards on Wednesday (July 14).


Donovan was on loan for the Liverpool soccer club Everton for several months last winter, which was when the rumored affair took place.

These soccer studs sure do get around. Cristiano Ronaldo  recently admitted on his Facebook page that he is now the father of a baby boy, whom he will raise himself.
