Shirley Sherrod 'would consider' suing Andrew Breitbart over racist video

Former Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod says on Thursday (July 22) that she would consider legal action against the Tea Party supporter/blogger who posted the edited-for-political-purposes video that led to her forced resignation.

Sherrod discussed the situation on CBS's "Early Show" and said that while she hasn't actively talked about suing Andrew Breitbart, she "would definitely consider it."

"As much as he's saying it was about the NAACP, he had to know that it was about me," says Sherrod, who has now been cleared of racism charges and received apologies from the USDA and the NAACP. "He was willing to destroy me to get to what he thought -- to try to destroy the NAACP."

"He had to know what he was doing," she says. "I'm certain he didn't think the other side of the story would come out, but he knew he was misrepresenting the facts."

"I was using my life to show how I'd changed," she adds about the long friendship that developed between herself and a white farmer and his wife who wanted to save their land.

Sherrod also reveals that Breitbart had not apologized to her. Nor does she expect him to. She has never heard of him before this week and has never met him. "But from what I think he is,  I don't think I would ever receive an apology."

Do you think Andrew Breitbart should apologize to Shirley Sherrod?

She should absolutely sue him. He absolutely knew he was wrong. To ruin an innocent person's life is inexcusable. Shame on him.

No, I think she should hold him accountable for his actions and sue him.

I would urge Ms Sherrod to sue this creep Breitbart for all he's worth ( in money, that is, he's not worth anything in any other sense) This would expose him and all others like him, those racist Teapartiers
Anyone comparing the two must conclude he is the very antithesis of Ms Sherrod
She's black...
She believes in God..
and in reconciliation, which she fostered in younger people..
She doesn't wear her religion on her sleeve..
Her actions speak for themselves...
She doesn't speak with forked tongue, trying to destroy others..
She works hard to obtain a living and helping others.....
and...................
Breit bart (German)= broad, wide, + beard
perhaps he should consider changing to After + Loch
It might be more appropriate

Shirley Sherrod and the NAACP are racist...
