Ryan Reynolds hurt on 'Green Lantern' set
Ryan Reynolds is playing a superhero in "Green Lantern," but he's a mortal just like the rest of us -- and has the bruises to prove it.Reynolds was injured this week on the set of "Green Lantern" in New Orleans. According to Us Weekly, he separated his shoulder on Monday (July 12) while filming a scene for the comic-book movie and is "in lots of pain," as people tend to be when they separate a shoulder.
"He's been keeping ice on it," a source tells the magazine.
Still, the injury isn't considered overly serious and isn't expected to disrupt production on the movie, which Martin Campbell ("Casino Royale") is directing.
"Green Lantern," which also stars Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl"), Peter Sarsgaard ("Knight and Day") and Mark Strong ("Sherlock Holmes"), is scheduled for release next summer.

I don't like it. Don't like the suit, don't like the ring. Why can't they make it at least loosely resemble the comic book version?
Hopefully the storytelling will be strong enough to help us look past the Spawn-inspired costume and exaggerated ring.
If the movie is anywhere near as over-developed as this suit it's going to add fuel to the argument why live action superhero movies are a bad risk.
Let's all hope they put more effort into making a great story then they did messing up the main costume.
