'Real Housewives NJ': Teresa Giudice's time isn't free (not even for charity?)
With all the financial problems that "The Real Housewives of New Jersey's" Teresa Giudice has been dealing with lately, we don't expect her to make public appearances for free. But when a charity event asked her to grace them with her presence, they were shocked to hear from her manager that she wouldn't come for free (especially when her typically shifty cast member, Danielle Staub, did).
Teresa's manager, Mike Esterman, said "that she would not show up unless she got paid," the event coordinator for Strengthen Our Sisters, Athena Georgiadis, told the New York Post. "I explained this was for a shelter for women and children. He said it doesn't matter."
According to the site, Teresa charges $3,000 and car service for appearances. Georgiadis did say that Danielle, her daughters, and her rumored girlfriend and song partner, Lori Michaels, came for free.
To be fair, many celebrities at all levels of popularity charge for their appearances, regardless of what kind of event it is. Esterman says he told the organization that he only handles her paid appearances and if they wanted her to come for free, they should approach her personally. We also wonder if she just decided not to come, because Danielle was there. Hello, Danielle is threatening to sue her!
At any rate, is it that hard to give Teresa the message, Mr. Esterman? Don't you think she would have waived her fee if she knew?

This article is filed with many insonsistenies. Either she said she is not appearing for free OR her manager said he only handles her paid appearances.
He told the planner to contanct Teresa directly because he handles her paid appearances only. Instead of running to The Post, she should have contacted Teresa personally.
This statement...
"Teresa's manager, Mike Esterman, said "that she would not show up unless she got paid," the event coordinator for Strengthen Our Sisters, Athena Georgiadis, told the New York Post. "I explained this was for a shelter for women and children. He said it doesn't matter."
CONTRADICTS this statement...
"Esterman says he told the organization that he only handles her paid appearances and if they wanted her to come for free, they should approach her personally."
This is crazy. Athena Georgiadis went running to the New York Post w/this story.Teresa won't come to our charity w/out getting paid. After her manager was informed this is a charity, he still said she gets paid. Then he went on to explain "I only handle her paid appearances, if you want her to come you will have to contact her personally.Of course she couldn't wait to through in there Danielle came w/no pay. I bet s never tried to contact Teresa about this. If she had, Teresa would have come @ no charge. She got free publicity for her charity,@ the expence of Teresa. I guess as long as they got free publicity, it doesn't matter if they make another person look bad. Look @ how many celebrities do appearance just like this, & get paid. Don't put Teresa down.I would get aid too.
Teresa is a low live and her kids I feel soory for. Sorry we have to watch poeple that on the tube.
