'Real Housewives' Bankruptcy: Auction house charging $300 admission
At least "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice's estate is having a high-end bankruptcy auction. It even costs $300 to go to it. That's gotta be something to be proud of.A.J. Willner Auctions is handling the Aug. 22 sale of the Giudice's fancy furnishings and expensive personal property. Most of it is familiar to fans of "Real Housewives."
But the auction house, which also conducted the 2007 sale of assets from Whitney Houston's tour, has devised a way to weed out curious fans who just want to gawk, not buy.
"In order to come onto the property, you'll have to register," auction house manager Harry Byrnes explains to NorthJersey.com. "Registration requires a name, address and phone number, plus a $300 deposit towards purchases. That gets you into the venue. If you don't buy anything, obviously you get your $300 back."
"I don't want it to be a zoo," insists Byrnes. "I want it to be very orderly and professional." Yeah, so not like an episode of "Real Housewives" or anything.
Prospective bidders will be able to walk through the house, at 6 Indian Lane, to preview the items for three hours, starting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 22, Byrnes tells NorthJersey.com. But the auction will be conducted in a tent in the middle of the driveway.
"If it was a smaller crowd, I would consider walking through the house and selling each piece while standing in front of it, but because of the amount of interest, we feel that this is the most conducive way to conduct the auction," Byrnes says.
Items up for auction include: Wood-trimmed sofas with leather and fabric upholstery, a suit of armor, an ornate Greek Revival table, and a ginormous gilt-framed mirror, a grand piano, a high-end foosball table, a pool table, a snow plow, a jet boat, and a 48-inch stainless steel Wolf range.
Check out the full 12-page list including dishes, costume jewelry, wedding bands, tools, computers, BBQ grill, baby furniture, rugs, 42-inch LCD TVs and so much more.
No children will be allowed at the sale. No food, no pets and NO hair-pulling!

Maybe Daniele would like to buy THAT! hahahaha!
