'Hot in Cleveland': LeBron James, give Betty White a call
If you're a sports fan, you know that the biggest story going right now -- aside from the World Cup -- is the status of NBA superstar LeBron James.
Cleveland Cavaliers fans badly want to keep James, who grew up in nearby Akron, in Ohio. And apparently we can count Betty White among those fans -- or at least her "Hot in Cleveland" character, Elka Ostrovsky.
James is a free agent, and he's been taking meetings with several teams, including the New York Knicks, New Jersey Nets, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers, before finally talking with the Cavaliers -- the only NBA team he's ever played for -- on Saturday.
To help with the hometown effort, White and her "Cleveland" co-stars Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves made the video above, appealing to James to stay in Cleveland. Betty/Elka even promises to make it "worth your while" to remain with the Cavaliers.
So that should just about seal the deal, right? Sorry, Knicks fans. You just can't compete with the Power of Betty.
