Heidi Montag moves forward with Spencer Pratt divorce, papers filed
Heidi Montag officially filed for divorce in Santa Monica Superior Court -- and the cameras weren't even rolling.
It was only two months ago that the former star of "The Hills" petitioned for legal separation from husband Spencer Pratt. Needless to say, the speed of the breakup comes as bit of a surprise, given the couple's history of endlessly milking all coverage that comes their way.
People reports 23-year-old Montag cites irreconcilable differences, which, in this instance, translates to "opposing views on sustaining fame through self-mutilation and shenanigans."
Heidi's lawyer had this to say to People: "Heidi has amended her
petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution
of marriage from Spencer Pratt. The couple has agreed they would like
their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out of court
settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the
