Gloria Allred to Mel Gibson: Apologize to women, black men for rape rant!
Limelight-loving legal beagle Gloria Allred speaks for women, all rape victims and black men with her response to Mel Gibson's alleged racist and sexist rant captured on tape and leaked to the press this week.He is heard telling Oksana Grigorieva: "You're an embarrassment to me," according to RadarOnline, which has heard the tapes. "You look like a f***ing pig in heat, and if you get raped by a pack of n*****s, it will be your fault."
Allred has penned an open letter to Gibson, and we got our hands on a copy at The Dish Rag. She writes:
"Dear Mr. Gibson,
"Yesterday, shocking sexist and racist statements reportedly from you were published around the world.
"You allegedly told the mother of your youngest child that the way that she was dressed would get her 'raped by a pack of N---ers.' As an attorney who has represented many sexual assault victims and as a woman who is a survivor of rape myself, I want you to know how deeply offensive, appalling and harmful your reported statements are.
"Women are not raped because of the way that they are dressed. Babies have been raped. Ninety-year-old women have been raped. Nuns have been raped.
"It had nothing to do with the way that they were dressed. Rape is an act of power, not of sex. It is an exercise of dominance by men who wish to exercise their power, and who care only about themselves, not the long lasting damage that they are inflicting on vulnerable victims.
"Rape is not the fault of the innocent victim. It is the fault of the rapist who refuses to control his urge to hurt the person whom he has targeted.
"What if the rapist targeted your daughter? Would you blame her? I hope not. All female victims are someone else's daughter. How dare you blame them rather than those who commit a crime of rape against them.
"Also, I am disgusted that you would use a racist myth to suggest that African American men would want to rape a white woman. Most rapists are not African American and your reported statement is clearly and simply a racist stereotype about African American men.
"You owe all women and African American men a public apology and action to rehabilitate yourself so that you will never make such sexist and racist statements again.
"We all look forward to your response."
What do you think of Allred's message? Do you think Mel will make a public apology? We kinda doubt it.

Dear Gloria,
Although what Mel said was offensive he does not need a "spanking" from you. The women you "defend" I am sure have siad some pretty nasty things. And to have been taped is always a worry to me.
I would bet if you taped everyone in America, no matter their color, religion, or origin you would find some kind of insulting remark made that would hurt someones feelings.
What yuou are doing is not protecting women or the African American population, what you are doing is going into peoples bedrooms and becoming judge and jury.
Are we to expect Rappers to apolgize to the "WASP" population due to the words in their songs. Although it is entertainment, it may hurt people.
Mel stated what he thought his girlfirend looked like. HOw ever unkind it is, he does not owe me as a woman an apology.
Gloria, at one time I defended you. But you seem to have turned into a pimp for chicks that put themselves in bed with married men and expect the truth from them. They know what they are getting into too. A woman can get pregnant and even expect monies for the upkeep of the child, but they cannot demand respect from the men.
You Gloria are not at all a defender, you have become a running joke.
Mel Gibson seems to have a problem with ETOH and or drugs and certaintly with anger issues.Do you ever suspect that more than a few of your clients would drive Mother Theres to swear and say things that would make a truck driver blush.
You might want to take a break for awhile and smell one of the many flowers you wear on your lapel.
Maybe it's none of our business what Mel Gibson says to his wife on an answering machine. Maybe Oksana Grigorieva should apologize to everyone for publicizing his remarks that were meant to offend her, and her alone. Had she not done that, no rape victims or African Americans need have been offended.

Ok, whats sad here is I hate Gloria Allred more then Mel Gibson and I am a woman. Not defending what he did, I just really REALLY cant stand that woman and anything she says just automatically puts me on the other side. Thats how much she revolts me. Sick I know but I cant help it. She makes my skin crawl just reading her name. She is SO an insult to woman and it's insulting for her to try and come to our defense. Makes me cringe.
Oh and I demand Gloria Allred apologize to ALL women for disgracing us and claiming to speak for "us". See? I can demand things too but that doesnt mean anyone cares or will do what you say. No matter how much you try and sue. lol.

I find it offensive and am VERY disgusted that in your defense letter, you brought up the idea of his daughter getting raped. YOU should be ashamed of yourself. She is an innocent little girl who has nothing to do with the situation of what he said. For you to even bring up the thought of that to prove YOUR personal point is disgusting. You just made the world think about that little girl getting raped for a moment. And it proved nothing but a vulgar image in your reader's heads.
I am in no way defending Mel Gibson, because I know that the things he said were wrong and hurtful. They were mean and uncalled for. HOWEVER, I feel strongly that you, and the rest of the world, should just stay out of it. I'm sure by all the attention this has caused, he knows how wrong he was and he doesn't need someone telling him who to apologize to and how to do it. Let him be a MAN. You think by telling him and getting people to ASK for an apology proves anything? No. The words were said and he can't take it back. The only thing left to do out of respect is to apologize ON HIS OWN.
You mean to tell me that you want him to apologize to you, a rape victim, and you would accept his apology? No, you would not. BECAUSE he did not do it on his own. You and whoever is behind you asking him for an apology will not get the same satisfaction as if he were a real man about it and did it on his own.
Gloria Allred is the kind of bottom dweller that make Jewish people look bad.
