Fifth Mel Gibson audio rant released: Were the tapes edited?
Another in the seemingly endless stream of vile and disgusting audio tapes (if you're counting, this is No. 5) of a screaming, panting Mel Gibson insulting his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Gregorieva, has just been posted on RadarOnline. It's the same old sick song of vicious profanity you've heard in the previous tapes. But this recording also hints at money problems for Mel.
He talks about having to sell artwork and his precious Lakers box because he has debt and financial responsibilities. He blames Oksana for all of it, saying she cost him $5 million.
While the world digests the tapes, TMZ is asking whether the tapes have been edited in any way -- and if so, whether they'd be usable in any court proceedings.
Mel's attorneys claim that they have "concrete forensic evidence" that the tapes are altered, making them inadmissible evidence to support Oksana's request to remove Mel's custodial rights to their child.
Oksana's attorneys sound circumspect about this claim: "We are not aware of any presentation Gibson's lawyers are making, but we are not surprised they would make such unfounded claims."
Both legal teams will be in court Thursday morning (July 15) before a family law judge who may either remove or uphold Mel's custody claims on the couple's infant daughter, Lucia.
Do you think these tapes have been edited? Maybe that's not really Mel Gibson panting and grunting like a wildebeest. Maybe that's just FX.

I think some of it is. I've worked with a lot of audio and video and something is fishy about the way it cuts in and out when she talks. Also, what started all this?
And how much is she really saying while the recording mic is muted. That's why her voice goes in and out. When you hit mute you hear a small "pop" sound on a recording using a mic. You can clearly hear this. So she hits mute, screams at him, unmute, record calm voice.
Don't want to listen to the tapes, but hear they are really bad. Guess the lawyers will have a field day presenting the case; judges have heard worse, tho.
Agree there is something fishy about the recordings. She is unnaturally calm for most of the time, but she must have been raging at him herself, off recording , to deliberately provoke him to rant even more
All of this is a publicity stunt to promote her...
The two of them seem to be having different conversations at times--as if he did not hear what she said (were some of her comments added later?). That strange disconnect really made me wonder if his response to her words about him hitting her while she held the baby ("you deserved it") had anything at all to do with what we heard her say.
Clearly we only hear the part of the conversation when he is already worked up, and we are not privy to the early part that starts his ranting and panting. We also hear the same nasty names repeatedly--were they copied and added again and again?? Also, we heard 5 separate recordings, which makes it seem like all he does is call Oksana to rant at her again and again; but listening to the content, it sounded to me like there was only one, maybe two angry conversations.
And finally, this was funny--the only time I recall her objecting to him calling her a name is when he referred to her as "honey". "Don't call me honey!" she exclaims. I didn't hear her object to any of the nasty names... :)
yeah, for some reason ,him calling her honey really ofended her!!That's strange. And she surly knows how to push his buttons.aparently he spent over 5 mill on her,and she still wasn't satisified. There's no question he is a certified wacko, but she's defintely out to get all she can from him.oh by the way,all the calls are real.A guy that does voce analysis for the government just verified them all.
There is an obvious attempt in the mainstream media to demonize mel gibson. yes, he's freaky and weird.
All is not as it appears, as with everything Hollywood, Mass Media, Government and Banking.
