Elin Nordegren only gets $100 million from Tiger Woods
Once it was determined that Tiger Woods was actually only worth around $600 million, the originally reported $750 mllion settlement figure for Elin Nordegren went out the window. Now the word from TMZ is that she will get about $100 million from Tiger in the settlement. But that probably doesn't include an as-yet-unspecified figure for child support for their two kids.
Apparently, the $100 million figure is much more than Elin would have received under the original prenuptial agreement. But that was before the Tiger's legal team realized that they had to buy her perpetual silence to protect Tiger's already tarnished reputation. That kind of promise does not come cheap, needless to say.
We're not sure if that's enough. Once you get used to a $600 million lifestyle, it will be a little tight on just $100 million. Presumably, she will still be able to use Tiger's jet, yacht and other toys for vacations.
No question that Elin had a rough time during all this. But we can't feel too sorry for her anymore. She's set for several lifetimes.

Elin Nordegren deserves a substantial divorce settlement amount since Tiger Woods is demanding from Elin a lifetime of silence. Tiger is the one who caused irreparable damage to the marriage and the dissolution of the family unit with his adulterous, reckless and irresponsible behavior. Tiger Woods humiliated his wife in front of the world and caused his family enough hurt, pain and suffering that will last them for the rest of their lives! Tiger Woods used his wife and children to earn millions from sponsors projecting a false image of integrity as a devoted husband and family man, while living a sordid secret life. Tiger, reportedly, had unprotected sex with multiple promiscuous partners, potentially exposing Elin to life threatening conditions such as STD, HIV, hepatitis, herpes, uterine cancer, etc. Some of these conditions can be dormant and could take years to show up! It is very wise of Elin to demand that Tiger never expose their children to any future female companions ''unless he is married to said person.'' I commend Elin for being a caring and loving mother and for her great courage, dignity and class during this horrid time in her life. I wish Elin and her precious children all the best for the future!!!
BS!!! She deserves only child support period. She makes me ill. She is not a saint! After all Tiger would not of married her in the first place. It was and always will be about the money! Count your money baby....big bucks for such a short marriage. Do not feel sorry of her, the kids will do well.
He did not murder someone, he cheated she had to know.
This is just another example of why these couples come together, for the love of money. If tigers wife were black the courts would not even think of handing her that amount of money.Everyone knows blacks don't know how to handle real money anyhow,look at the history of coloreds with plenty of money.
How many tournaments did Elin win? How many endorsements does Elin have? How many hours has she spent since a child on the golf course practicing he shots? The answers: NONE, NONE, and NONE. She didn't earn any of this money, and her presence in Tiger's life didn't enable him to earn any of this money. He got sex. She gets money. That makes her a *****. Tiger is a scumbag, no doubt about that. But she's being compensated far above and beyond anything that's reasonable. How do we know she wasn't cheating on him too?
Carmen, nice to see your comments again - you must be a busy lady spreading your anti Tiger venom around. I am neither pro Tiger or pro Elin but you are bordering on being obsessive when it comes to Tiger. Time to moveon.
So when the stories about Tiger cheating on Elin first came out, this place was filled with anti-Tiger comments. Now that we've got to the part where Elin gets a divorce settlement, everyone is spewing venom at her.

WORD AROUND TOWN IS THIS...first the reality, your husband doesn't cheat on you with 17 women without you knowing about it. Being on the other side of the country is not her defense in being naive to that fact, because you know a person if you are in love and married and have kids with him. SECOND, the "WORD" is, she knew about the first couple times, WAS AWARE OF THE OUTCOME if she were to "out" him. So she "let" him hang himself. She KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING. Shame on her. C.R.E.A.M is Elin's motto. THIRD, she doesn't work. NANNIES watch her kids.
Well, I wouldn't want to comment on this since I don't really care but here's my 2 cents:
It's not a matter of deserving or not, it's a matter of what she's worth and considering they have children together she's entitled to keep the same lifestyle just because she can plus her lawyer must be the best to get such a settlement. I'm sure for Tiger this is not that much money since he can make so much more.
Its all about value. People pay for anything if its worth it to them, and quite clearly Elin's silence is worth $100 million dollars to Tiger. That's just business. As far as the divorce goes, its humiliating, its embarrassing, and painful for both of them and no amount of money can take that away. People want to be mad at Elin because she is being paid that kind of money and she didn't earn it, but let's face it, Tiger knew the rules of engagement when he got married and when he decided to behave the way that he did. Sure people cheat everyday, but don't pretend like the guy that moves into his wife's parents' basement with their two kids face the same liability in a divorce that a world renowned golf player that is worth $600 million Dollars faces!! And for those that say Elin deserves the $100 million, what she deserved was a husband that loved her enough to honor the commitment that he made to her, and a husband that valued the sanctity of their marriage! I'm sure the unity of her family unit was worth more to her than Tiger's entire fortune, but that was ruined and she had nothing to do with that. Is a $100 million dollar settlement fair? Well all is fair in love and war!!!
