Drew Carey unveils 80-pound weight loss
Maybe this will appease Bob Barker. Comedian and "The Price is Right" host Drew Carey unveiled a much fitter frame at the CBS Summer Press Tour Party in Beverly Hills, announcing that he'd lost 80 pounds since starting a diet earlier in 2010.
"It sucks being fat, you know," he explains to People."I was diabetic with Type-2 diabetes."
But how did he turn things around so quickly?

The 52-year-old kicked off the new year with a no-carb diet and a carefully monitored menu throughout the day of things like egg whites, Greek yogurt, fruit, grilled chicken and plain vegetables. Going to the gym also played a big role in his new regimen. 45-minute cardio sessions, up to six days a week, are his workout of choice.
All the hard work has already reaped medical benefits for Drew, who claims he's no longer a diabetic or on any diabetes medications. He still plans on losing an additional 10 pounds to be able to fit into size 32 pants. (Earlier this year he wore 44s.)
Don't let Bob's comments make you reach for the Häagen-Dazs, Drew. You're doing a fine job.

I always like the new and improved Drew Carey giving Bob Barker a run for his money. Anyone up for PLINKO well don't miss the new season of Price is Right in September.
AH HA! I had wondered what he did to lose this weight...NOW I KNOW! I have been on the same one...It is a healthy way to lose the access weight and it does give you other physical benefit's besides the weight loss...Congratulations Drew...You look great...The reason people have been saying yu are too thin is because they have never known you at a healthy weight and they are comfortable with the heavy weight you were..Your weight loss makes those who are trying to encourage you not to stay so thin...very uncomfortable on some level...You did this correctly by going to a nutritonist and taking the correct steps in your food consumption because you are not gaunt in your face and you don't look unhealthy..And had you not done this correctly you would look drawn and gaunt...I am so happy for y ou...I have 20 more pounds to go on this journey...I will never be 'fat again' not with this avenue of weight loss...Staying on top of it and not allowing for more than a couple of lbs to be regained before you take the steps to lose that small amount...will ensure you of a weight amount that you can control...
the new improved drew carey right he couldnt hold a candle too mr bob barker who starred on the price is right for the first of its run for around 36 years. i dont know who hired that fat hippo drew caRREY WITH THOSE BIG THICK GLASEES, HE HAS NO PERSONALITY, BORING AS A DOOR KNOB, THE CONTESTANTS DONT WIN THE SHOW IS BORING, AND THERE ANNOUNCER RICH FIELDS ORIGINALLY A WEATHER MAN IS GOIUNG BACK TOO READING AND STARING AT WEATHER MAPS. HE GOT FED UP WITH DREW CARREY. THE SHOW IS JUST PLAIN DULL WITH BORING WITH DREW. WHAT A MESS THE MAN NEEDS TOO BE SITING ON A BAR STOOL.
Drew: Semper Fi!!
I love Drew! Loved his show!!! But he lost too much too fast. He doesnt look healthly- at least not in this picture
Who knew Orville Redenbacker had a love child????
Kudos for wanting to be healthier, but hopefully he doesn't fall into the same trap that a lot of men in Hollywood have. As much as I despise using made-up terms, "manorexia" comes to mind in this case. As long as he's keeping thin to be healthy, and not because he's going through some kind of mid-life crisis, more power to him.
Maybe his new physique will distract fans of The Price Is Right when the new-and-not-so-improved version of the game show starts in a month or so.
Good job Drew, I think you're just an awesome person. I wish there were more people like you in Hollywood... Keep up the good work!!!
Good on Drew Carey for losing the weight in a healthy manner. Hope he is able to maintain the weight and not creep back up, as can happen all too easily (voice of experience).
Now, if only CBS would replace him on Price is Right--so not the right host. Ellen Degeneres would be so awesome as the host!
Very interesting website. I am so looking forward to reading more posts.
