'Twilight: Eclipse': Dakota Fanning on vampire bowling and prom

What do vampires do when they have a little down time? Apparently they go bowling -- and not necessarily all that successfully.

That was the gist of the story "Twilight: Eclipse" star Dakota Fanning related to Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" Monday (June 21).

She talks about going bowling on an off day during the filming of "New Moon" -- candlepin bowling, it sounds like from her description -- and how difficult it was to keep score without the electronic aids present at most bowling alleys: "They handed me a piece of paper and a pencil, and I had to do the score by hand," she says incredulously. "It was hard, it was hard. You couldn't see the pins from that far away!"

Despite her busy acting career, Dakota still attends high school -- she's a cheerleader, in fact. She even found time to go to her prom recently.

"I didn't think I was going to be able to go and then two days before I decided to go and I had to find a dress and get ready at the last minute, but it was really fun," she says. "The theme was enchanted garden."

For those of you who haven't already lined up outside a theater, "Eclipse" premieres June 30.
