'True Blood's' gay vampire king Denis O'Hare is on Team Jacob
Denis O'Hare is definitely one of the most colorful new characters on "True Blood's third season. He plays the flamboyant Russell Edgington, the openly gay Vampire King of Mississippi, who is expanding his power base.
The Dish Rag caught up with Denis ("Millk, "Brothers and Sisters") on Tuesday (June 8) at the Hollywood premiere and asked the show's first gay vampire -- whom you meet when he makes a rather grand entrance on horseback in the second episode -- about his royal taste in blood.

He started off with a lovely young type B-negative infused with mint (think a Bloody Mint Julep) and a smooth blood bisque. Thankfully, the Dish Rag is B-positive.
Denis also talks about his character's centuries-long monogamous (for the most part) relationship with another male vampire.
His "Blood" lover/partner does a fabulous job of decorating a guest room in the king's estate with a bed that belonged to the legendary Countess Elizabeth Bathory de Ecsed, who was overly fond of virginal blood.
So we wondered, is the "True Blood" Vampire King on "Twilight"s Team Edward or Team Jacob? Not wanting to get in trouble with his real-life boyfriend, he admitted, with a sly grin, "I like werewolves. What can I say."
