Tiger Woods plays Pebble Beach, Elin Nordegren eyes Jupiter Island

Tiger Woods' estranged wife Elin Nordegren reportedly wants the $80 million dollar, ocean-front Jupiter Island mansion -- that she helped design -- as part of their divorce settlement.

Jupiter Island, south of  Stuart, Florida, is a very private and moneyed enclave with tight security. And the luxurious estate should be ready for occupancy soon. It also includes a 9,500 square ft. gym and an oxygen therapy room, which Elin and the kids will probably never use.

The good part about this news for Tiger is that his children would be only a few hours drive away from him, not moved across the ocean to Sweden, as has been previously reported to be Elin's plan.

Tiger and Elin live separately now and have both hired lawyers to communicate about Elin's demands for $750 million.

This week, Tiger is smiling for the cameras and playing in the US Open at Pebble Beach. But he didn't do well at the Masters and withdrew from the Players Championship with an inflamed neck joint. Then he tied for 19th place in the recent Memorial tournament. Ouch.

Of course, all his golf fans remember Tiger's astonishing 2000 Pebble Beach win, a victory that Phil Mickelson calls "the greatest performance I've ever seen in the game." 

Ten years later, can Tiger get his steam back? Remember that golf is a physical and mental game. As far as his mental focus is concerned, it sounds like he's still pretty on edge.

When asked by a reporter at a press conference on Tuesday (June 15) if he and Elin have reached a resolution, he snapped, "No, that's none of your business."
