'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' and Bravo say farewell to Dina Manzo [Video]
Dina Manzo's last episode aired Monday (June 14) on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."
After Bravo teased that one of the New Jersey housewives was leaving the show, other news outlets reported their hunches. Zap2it was the first to report that our source close to the cast confirmed Dina was definitely the one saying goodbye.
"I do hope you all understand why I HAD to go," Dina wrote in her last Bravo blog. "No amount of money, attention, fame etc. is worth my happiness."
We had sensed that she had fallen out of love with the series when we talked to her recently - especially after the debacle that Danielle Staub created during a benefit for a child with cancer held at the Manzo family business, The Brownstone.
"For her to make a mockery of it was extra upsetting as a cast member, you know," Dina tells us. "To be part of the show, to see her do that. It was really the last straw for me."
Dina plans to focus on her family, friends and pampering her pets. She will also continue her work on Project Ladybug, the charity she founded which helps to improve the quality of life for children with life-threatening diseases.
We wish her the best in her present and future endeavors!
