'Real Housewives of NJ': Elvira Grau replacing Dina Manzo? False.
Ever since Dina Manzo took the classy route and exited "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" to get away from the menacing Danielle Staub, fans and the media have been speculating on who would replace her.Earlier Sunday (June 20), rumors started spreading that event producer, Elvira Grau, had been chosen to step into Dina's fabulous shoes. Socialite Life actually ran with the gossip, but we decided to cool our heels and dig a bit.
We can now tell you that the rumor is false. A source close to the cast tells Zap2it exclusively that Elvira is merely appearing in the show as a guest and she's not the newest New Jersey housewife.
In fact, there will be no replacement for Dina this season! That's bad news for the two-faced Kim G., Danielle's little accomplice, who has certainly seemed to have been jockeying for the open slot. Our source does tell us that Bravo is actively searching for a new housewife to join Season 3.
Bravo viewers will remember Elvira from the last episode of "Bethenny Getting Married?" Bethenny Frankel spoke at a women's luncheon that Elvira was hosting. She was definitely fun and loved the camera! We can say that for her.
When we received the tip, we knew it smelled fishy. And now we know why! It is. We're not sure if this was a cheap way to get attention for Elvira's business and event locations, but it's tough to trick us when it comes to "Real Housewives" dish!
[Update: Bravo's Andy Cohen addressed the Elvira rumor via Twitter Monday (June 21) morning. He says, "To the Lady named Elvira sending out press releases saying ur the new RHNJ: It ain't true. Ur on 2nite's ep for 10 mins tho. Enjoy + Sorry!" Well, there's the last nail in that coffin!]
Nevertheless, do you think Elvira or Kim G. should get a crack at the housewife opening for Season 3?

Who cares! It doesn't matter because people stopped watching this show. It has turned into the Sopranos with real thugs including Danielle. No one wants to watch RHONJ it's pretty boring.
Confirmed for at least the next 6 episodes. Sounds like a cast member in my book.

Hey Tom Murro....Andy at Bravo is saying NO...she is not a new housewife and only appears a few minutes on tonight's episode. Apparently Elvira is sending out press releases saying different. She has been told by Andy, on twitter, that she is not a new cast member ;)
Andy Cohen just denied it on twitter also. He said she was on tonight's show for 10 minutes.
I don't know whether she'd fit in with the cast but if you check Caroline Manzo's tweets from the broadcast time of the last BGM, she sure doesn't want her! When Andy tweeted the above message this afternoon, Caroline tweeted back that she seriously loved him because of that tweet. Doesn't bode well!

I agree, RHONJ is so boring, there is no story to it. Who cares about the Danielle person, who lives in a run down old house, doing battle with a bunch of wedding hall owning idiots. Bravo made a huge casting mistake thinking these "ladies" could make a show....

Caroline doesn't want Elvira because she's better-looking than all the current NJ hw's (puts em to shame)!! the NJ hw's are so ugly (& inside too) i can't even stand to watch that show. in fact, I can only take OC at this point. even with Gretch the Wretch who should move to NY.
