'Real Housewives of NJ': Dina Manzo to exit the show
Bravo can be very sneaky in their previews. Fans were taken aback when during the last episode of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," a commercial announced that one of the housewives was "leaving forever." Now, we know who it is.
A source close to the cast has confirmed to Zap2it that Dina Manzo is leaving the show.
We have contacted Dina for confirmation, but she didn't respond to our request. But when we talked to Dina right after news broke that cast mate and best friend, Teresa Giudice, had filed for bankruptcy, we had a feeling that she had fallen out of love with the series. It seemed the Danielle Staub debacle at the benefit for the baby with cancer was all that she could take. Dina runs her own charity, Project Ladybug, for children with life-threatening diseases and it hit her hard.
"For me knowing how hard I work," Dina told us. "For her to make a mockery of it was extra upsetting as a cast member, you know, to be part of the show, to see her do that. It was really the last straw for me."
Dina says that she was under the impression that Bravo wasn't going to film the event. She found out when she received an angry call from her husband asking why the cameras were at the The Brownstone.
"The fact is it's real life. It's exactly what happened," Dina says. "And I myself was completely, a thousand percent against this being filmed, because I take this very, very seriously. I am so exhausted at the end of the day and I don't make a penny for Ladybug."
In the last episode, Dina went face-to-face with Danielle and it didn't work out the way she planned. She told us she was "mortified" when she figured out that Danielle had brought her thugs along.
In the next episode, we'll see how the confrontation ends. But, if her goal was to divorce herself from all interaction with Danielle, it makes sense that she'd choose to leave the show.
UPDATE: Bravo sent us the following statement: "While there is a lot of speculation about who, if anyone, is leaving the cast - viewers will have to tune in on Monday night to find out the truth."

Totally the right thing a professional and classy woman would do. No need for her to get dragged down in the dirt with that pig Danielle. For $3400/episode? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Bravo sunk to a new low with casting Danielle as she is in need of serious help. Instead, she's become a lightening rod for tons of hatred. Dina needs to mix with that? No way! Dina shows straight up what a decent person is all about. You walk away .
What's wrong with the cameras? Doesn't it bring exposure to the sick kid? Are you going to tell me after watching the episode some big hearted person didn't try and find out where they can send money?
Maybe your just jealous the money didn't go to Ladybug. I also think secretly your husband is possessive actually I think all the husbands are extremely chauvinistic, possessive to their wives except for Caroline's.

DINA, don't put all the blame on Dan. She is crazy but so is your sister, Caroline. Her threating words and voice (miss big woman) really set the tone of the show when it first aired. I hate the way BIG MAMA talks. You don't seem to be into the crazy. You said your self that if anybody picked on you, CAROLINE wanted to kill somebody! watch the TAPE! Being with Caroline brings out the worst in you. Caroline thinks that she can say what she wants and no one should feel threatned. I would be afraid to go out in the yard if I lived next to her. She cannot have any friends. JAC. needs to slap her again!!!!
Dina and Caroline are so nasty and ugly. Now onder they are jelous of Danielle, who is younger and skinner than these two monsters. Good by Dina, now bring on the classy Kim G to replace you class less behind. Sad how this porn thing is just rude, mean, botoxed and just nasty to Danielle, who has changed. Now only if theyw ould fire broke fat Tresea as well. These woman make OC NY and Atlanta look bad and give the whole franchise a bad name. Total trashy monsters, poor things.

I think Dina really showed what a nice person she was this season. I think shes really had enough. These women think that by doing reality tv they are going to get rich and more popular but for $3400 a show they are losing themselves, their dignity, pride, and no tiny salary like that or any salary is worth losing yourself over. Dina, you made a TERRIFIC decision ! The gays are very proud of you girl !
I had enough with Danielle ! At first I started liking her a bit giving her a chance. Then as me and my daughter watched this season each week she really showed her true colors. That she isn't thinking about "her daughters" but only HERSELF. No wonder the world is disliking her more and more. If Danielle left the show "for her daughters" I'd have more respect for her. But she'd never do that ! It would interupt her fame seeking. Dina, on the other hand, did leave Lexie out of the show this season to protect her ! Kudos Dina !
